About Marty O’Neill
Marty O’Neill is an Insurance Agent and owner of a successful agency located in Ferndale, Michigan.
Marty was born and raised in Royal Oak, MI. Last year he returned to Royal Oak after 8 years in Rochester Hills to be closer to his clients and more in touch with the local community.
In 1988 Marty graduated from Royal Oak Shrine High School and enrolled at Ferris State University. At Ferris he earned degrees in Journalism and Business. He was the Editor-in-Chief of his college paper, won a Michigan Press Association Journalism Scholarship, was named the University’s Outstanding Journalism Student, and served as Vice-President of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
Upon graduation, Marty began his career in sales and worked for over 10 years in sales and customer service, all within the automotive supplier industry. In 2005 O’Neill was hired as an Agency Intern, specifically to train for his future role as an Insurance Agent.
In December 2006 Marty opened his Agency on Woodward Avenue, just south of Nine Mile, in the heart of downtown Ferndale. The agency has a team of fully licensed insurance professionals, along with O’Neill who is also licensed to sell securities in Michigan.
Since its inception, the agency has experience significant growth and has been recognized by the community for its outstanding contributions. In 2007 the agency was voted by the Daily Tribune as the area’s best insurance agency. Also in 2007 O’Neill was voted to the Board of Directors for the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce.
Marty has been involved with numerous community events including Ferndale Youth Assistance, coaching in the Royal Oak Baseball Federation, sitting on the committee for the Shrine High School Alumni Golf Outing, and working through charitable events with the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
When not working, Marty enjoys spending time with his children, Katy (7) and Andrew (5). He also enjoys running, golf, hockey and working around the house.
